MLA OLP CFPs (March 2010)

The following two calls for papers for the 2011 MLA convention in Los Angeles will be of interest to many of our readers:

Wittgenstein and Literature. Considering poets and other writers whose work bears explicitly or tacitly on Wittgenstein’s, as well as broader questions linked to ordinary language, interpretation, literary knowledge, aesthetic theory. 1-page abstracts by 2 March 2010; Ann Smock (asmock@berkeley.edu).

Philosophy of Language and Narrative. Analytic contributions to theories of narrative (metaphor, performatives, reference, use, etc.). 250-word abstracts by 4 March 2010; Jami Bartlett (j.bartlett@uci.edu).
